Prof. Tooru Tsuru
 
  Prof. Tooru Tsuru,1975年毕业于东京技术研究院并或博士学位,留院从事研究工作,1980年至1981年在麻省理工大学做博士后,1990年在升为教授。Tsuru教授为大学委员会委员,在国际上曾为为ICC(International Corrosion Council)第2副主席,还担任日本腐蚀工程协会副主席。Tsuru教授获得过由日本腐蚀工程协会、日本钢铁研究院、日本金属研究院、日本电化学学会等颁发的多种奖励。
 
  Tsuru教授主要从事电化学和腐蚀科学研究,在研究发明各种电化学方法如:阻抗谱、电化学噪声、隧道显微镜、Kelvin电极法等,应用于腐蚀研究方面取得显着成就。用电化学阻抗谱研究铁的钝化、和有机涂层的退化,他提出和研究涂层失效程度的测试评估方法,还创新和发明AC(交流电)腐蚀监测仪用于在线腐蚀监测。Tsuru教授还担任着日本钢铁研究院镀锌钢板防腐蚀项目负责人。
 
  Graduated from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Graduate School of Science and Engineering (Dr. Eng) in 1975.3.
 
  Research associate (1975), Associate professor (1982), Professor (1990) at the same Institute.Post-doctoral fellow at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1980-1981)。Currently, a member of the University Council, second vice president of International Corrosion Council (ICC) and vice president of Japan Society of Corrosion Engineering (JSCE)。He awarded many prizes from JSCE, the Iron and Steel Institute of Japan (ISIJ), Japan Institute of Metals (JIM) and Electrochemical Society of Japan (ECSJ)。
 
  His speciality is electrochemistry and corrosion science.He achieved success for applying new electrochemical methods in corrosion research
 
  He has been working on corrosion fields with various electrochemical methods, such as impedance spectroscopy, electrochemical noises, channel flow electrode, Kelvin probe, so on.Based on electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, he investigated on passivity of iron and degradation of organic coatings.He proposed an evaluation method for degree of coating degradation by the break point frequency in the impedance spectra.He innovated and devised AC corrosion monitor and made effort for use of monitoring.He is now leading a research group on corrosion mechanism of galvanized steel supported by the Iron and Steel Institute of Japan (ISIJ)。
